Properties of nuts
Nuts can be ordered from us starting from Class 5; in addition, we supply Class 10 and 12 nuts. The application is decisive for the quality. In a bicycle, for example, a Class 8 nut will work well, whereas a Class 12 nut might be needed in a construction designed to withstand pressure. The intended environment can also play a major role in the choice of specification. In the offshore industry, for example, nuts must comply with 3.2 Lloyd’s testing.
The surface treatments of the nuts in our range is very diverse, and includes black untreated, galvanised, hot galvanised, PTFE-coated and zinc flake. Various methods of processing the nut surface are responsible for certain special properties, and the consequent specific possibilities for application.
In addition to standard nuts, we also supply flange nuts and securing nuts. We hold stocks of all current and special nuts, and can ensure fast delivery at all times.
